Companionship That Truly Matters
Support for Mum and Dad, delivered with warmth, dignity, and genuine connection. Sometimes, what’s really needed isn’t care… it’s company. A friendly face. A helping hand. A cup of tea and a conversation.
At Time for Tea Companions, we provide meaningful companionship that helps older loved ones feel seen, supported, and connected every day.
How We Help
Built on Real Connection
Hello, I’m Rebecca, Director of Time for Tea Companions. This journey started with a simple idea… giving someone an hour of my time.
I was introduced to companionship work through a volunteer opportunity, where I met Doreen, a wonderful woman in her 90s who was feeling isolated. What began as weekly visits quickly became something much more meaningful.
We spent time chatting, playing games, and enjoying coffee together. Those moments weren’t just important for Doreen… they became a highlight of my own week too. When funding cuts ended the service, I couldn’t imagine stopping. So I continued visiting her privately, supporting her through different stages of life, right up until her 97th birthday.
Doreen passed away in December 2025, but the impact she had on me never will. She’s the reason Time for Tea Companions exists today. Because no one should feel alone.
