Our October Newsletter

A warm Autumn Welcome to you all!

A heartfelt hello to you all! Thank you for joining us. As the leaves begin to change, we're excited to share some wonderful updates with you.

Growing our Companionship Family

We're delighted to announce that our companionship services are expanding to the Cranleigh area! This means we can now bring warmth, conversation, and support to even more people in need of friendly connection.

Meet our Newest Team Members

We're thrilled to introduce two wonderful companions joining our Godalming team this month: Diana brings her passion for gardening and literature, while Clara shares her love of classical music and baking. Their diverse interests and caring personalities will be tremendous assets to those they visit.

And we have a very special four-legged addition too! We will be bringing home this lovely little boy over the next few weeks, and he shall be training hard to become our therapy dog! Do look out for him in the coming months at our events. He's a lovely little boy!

Rebecca's Gaming Favourites for the Month

As the weather turns cooler, here are some of the games we recommend to keep you and your loved ones busy:

  • My personal favourite, Rummikub – a wonderful number-sequencing board game that's perfect for all ages and abilities. It combines elements of rummy and mahjong and makes for a delightful afternoon activity. I love it as even though it's a numbers game, there's next to no maths involved! Great logic game for those wanting to keep their grey matter working.

  • Challenge yourself with a word game: How many words can you make from the letters in "AUTUMN LEAVES"? See if you can find more than 15.

  • Enjoy a warming cup of tea while watching the changing colours outside your window – simple pleasures are often the most meaningful. Perhaps you might spot some squirrels preparing for hibernation, or the robins making an appearance.

Join us at the Guildford Social - Rose's Tea Room in Guildford

Mark your calendars for our upcoming social gathering! This is a wonderful opportunity to meet, ask any questions you may have about companionship, and meeting our new puppy who will be making a special appearance.

  • When: Thursday, 6th November 2025, 10am - 11:30am

  • Where: Roses Tea Room, Sutton Green Garden Centre, GU4 7QB

  • What to expect: Friendly conversation, board games, delicious refreshments, and information about our companionship services.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our companionship services, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We're here to bring warmth, conversation, and support to those who need it most. Thank you for your continued support of Time for Tea Companions – together, we're making a difference in our community, one cup of tea at a time.

Stay Cozy!
